Expand Your Obstacle Course Options with MoveStrong’s New Configurable Horizontal Beam
At MoveStrong, we know every training space has different goals, layouts, and users. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a new standalone configurable horizontal beam obstacle that gives you more flexibility when designing outdoor obstacle courses and fitness environments.
Previously, our Cliffhanger and Globe Grip challenges were available only as part of the MoveStrong T-Rex station. Now, you can incorporate these popular upper body strength and grip-training elements into your course as standalone obstacles built around a single horizontal beam. This gives you more freedom to add advanced obstacle challenges without needing to install a larger system.
You can configure the beam with a Cliffhanger obstacle, Globe Grip obstacle, or both combined into one setup. Depending on your space and training needs, the obstacle can be single-sided, double-sided, or feature Cliffhanger holds on one side with Globe Grips on the other. The Globe Grips are also great for the famous Ring Toss challenge inspired by Ninja Warrior courses! This combination creates more versatility and challenges athletes to adapt between different grip styles and movement patterns.
Cliff Hanger Obstacle
Globe Grip Obstacle
It’s an ideal solution for ninja courses, schools, military-style training areas, and community fitness parks looking to deliver more challenge and variety without overcrowding a course layout.
The configurable beam also allows you to support a wider range of users. Beginners can develop grip confidence, coordination, and control, while advanced athletes can focus on endurance, body tension, upper-body strength, and smooth obstacle transitions.
Also Available for the MoveStrong T-Rex System
Looking for a fully integrated obstacle solution? The Cliffhanger and Globe Grip configurations are also available as part of the MoveStrong T-Rex System, allowing you to incorporate these advanced grip challenges into larger multi-obstacle training structures.
Whether you choose the standalone horizontal beam or the T-Rex system integration, you can create adaptable obstacle experiences designed around your space, users, and training goals.
